week 6

today in class we did this worksheet were on one side we had to find the definitions to each of the terms which some of them were dynasty, maat, nomb, and pyramid. then on the other side we do a fill in the blank which I did not really like as much because I could barley find any of the answers. at least we went over what the answers were for for both sides since it wasn't graded.

week 6

today in class we went over what was going to be on the test that is tomorrow which i didn't know we had but atleast there is only 15 questions so it shouldn't be to hard. some of the questions that are going to be on the test are about dynasties, the neolithic age and poleothic age which are the new stone age and the old stone age, and silt which is a rich soil. one other thing that is going to be on the test is ziggurats which is a sumerian temple built on top of a moutian.

week 5

on tuesday in class we did a work sheet with scenario's that was agianst the code of hammarabi and we had to decide the punishment with one other person. some of the scenario's had to do with robery, some had to do with selling slaves or slaves being disrespectful to their master, and some had to do with breaking friends things or getting into a fight. when we finished we had a discusion on what we all thought should be a good punishment for each situation.

week 5

today in class we turned in the work sheet that had to do with hammarabis code, we did the hammarabis code parts for each of the scenario's on the blue sheet we did last class, and we took notesfrom the book. the only thing with the homework is that i forgot to do it so i got a zero but lukly i can turn it in on munday and get half points back. some of the notes i were on nile river and how it floods every year providing plenty water for people and for crops to grow to feed lots of people, i also took notes on how heavy rains and snow melt from mountians cause the river to flood, and that it provides good transportation from northern egypt to southern egypt.

today in class we took some more notes off the power point that we looked at today. ssome of the notes that we took were better food storage allowed diversity in preist, tradesmen, artisans, politicians, and farmers. another note we took was that sumerians invented earliest form of writing and that that sumer was conquered by the Akkadians in 2350 BC.

today in class we took some notes off a power point. some of the notes we took were that 200,000 years ago a human species emerged in southwest africa and then 14,000 years ago a world wide human race existed. we also took notes on how the fertal cresent in the modern day would exstend across the countries of syria, jordan, and iraq. the last thing we took notes on were that sumerians invented the earliest form of writing.

today in class we taking notes on the first chapter in the text book and we got our test back. some of things i took notes on were how hamarabi's code had different punishments from rich to poor and men to women. the only thing is, is that i had to leave early so missed out on half the class.

today in class we took notes of some of the pages we had to read in the text book then we went would say something we took notes on that was in that chapter. some of the notes we took notes on were like the time line on the first page which had some dates and then something that happened like, in 2660 BC egypts old kingdom developes. anouther thing i took notes on were vocab like cultural diffusion which is the process where a new idea or product spreads from on culture to anouther, and hamarabies code which was the first set of writen down laws that acually help people accountable. we also had a descusion on hamarabies code of laws which got pretty intense because some of the kids in the class didn't agree or new questions would keep coming up and theen we would keep going on about that question.

today in class wetook a test on guns germs and steel and i thought that the test was kind of easy. the questions on that they asked on the test i seemed to remember hearing about which helped out a lot. i even new some of the exta credit questions but one i forgot which was acually easy but i didn't remember. i think that iwill get an A on the test but i hope im not wrong.

week 2

today in class we watched more of the video for guns germs and steel and we took a notes. we today was also pretty fun because we kept getting side traked talking about how it was snowing out side and how it was cold in the room. in the video we learned that the people living in the fertile crecent ended up abandoning this place because the trees were all being took down and the land dried up. we also learned that the main part of why new guineans never developed more advanced tec was because they never had any domesticatable animals to have more food and raise farms.
