week 14
a civil war is a conflict between to groups of people within the same country. julius caesar was a millitary general who joined forces with crassus and dominated rome for the next ten years as a trimuvate which is a group of three rulers. augustus was a roman ruler who remained unchallenged by many of his enemies. pax romana was a period of peace and prosperity that lasted for 207 years. a couple factors that contributed to the fall of rome was because of the masive difference between the rich and poor which led to a shake up of republic. the main reason for the romans success in controlling a large empire was the system of government that augustus created for the empire keept the empire stable for centries after his death. they would have day to day operations and would trade and farm.

week 12
today in class we talked a whole lot about philip11 and alexander the great which apearently almost created his own empire because when philip was assasinated at a wedding, he decided to take power and not everyone agreed so he had them killed. then he decided to carry out the original plan to concure persia and he smashed and took over persia. after concuring persia he went to egypt and described how he was son of a god and won many battles, so they proclaimed him pharoh for a while. then he went to india and ran into a new great chalenge which was the war elephant. these had armor and could smash through enemy lines , but alexander found a way around them and concoured india to so when he started to creat a new empire in babalonian, he died.

week 11
today in class we finally got to see elpris' project which it was very intresting because of the rap. when we watched the video, we saw nathin rap and then elpris and i thought they did a good job on it. they did a power point next which described the lyrics to the video and they pretty much made scence but some parts did not make as much scence. they rapped again after the video in person and a few people recorded it and air droped it to everyone so that's cool. they also had an interview at the end of their presentation which was just explaining some of the lyrics in better detail.
