an inflation is a drastic drop in the value of money coupled with a rise in prises. mersenaries are forien troops hired to fight in battle. diocletian is a strong willed army leader who became the new emperor of rome and restored its order. constantinople is the name of the capital that the romans fled to and made their capital when rome was falling apart. attila was a very successful military leader who led babilonian forces through the roman empire and destroyed many cities.the main reson for the empires decline was because citizens didnot have nearly as much loyalty to the roman empire as before. because when attila came through rome and was successful, he died of a disease so other tribes decided to invade rome because of how volnerable they were.
